Central Park of Havana (Parque Central de la Habana) is a wooded space, conceived as a public square, a place for recreation and leisure. In its center is the first statue of José Martí national hero of Cuba. Located in the historic center of the Cuban capital, in the area of Old Havana surrounded by the streets Prado, Zulueta, Neptuno and San José, since its creation it has always been a meeting place for the residents of the city. This park was completed in 1877, after having been demolished the Walls of Havana in the nineteenth century. Many tourists and citizens take it from the starting point to make different tours of Old Havana. Nearby is the Capitol of Havana, National Theater of Havana, Floridita, Paseo del Prado, Obispo Street and numerous hotels.
