El Nicho, is a wonder of nature with dozens of waterfalls and natural ponds in a practically virgin spot, hidden among the mountains. One of the settlements belonging to the basin of national interest Hanabanilla, in the province of Cienfuegos. This region is one of the most beautiful and spectacular places in Cuba.
It is found crossing the Sierra del Escambray, almost 30 kilometers from Topes de Collantes and just two from Lake Hanabanilla. It is part of the Laguna de Guanaroca-Yaguanabo-El Nicho Wildlife Refuge, located in the Guanayara Park.
It is a paradisiacal place where green vegetation, rivers, waterfalls and picturesque traditional peasant villages are combined. To give more emotion and originality to your visit, the trails and access are made in a rustic way typical of the region.
It is the perfect place for all lovers of ecotourism and naturelaza, as well as for people who want to know this other side of the rich Cuban nature.
